The Most Feared And Successful Pirate Captain Of The...

For about two years, the notorious pirate, Blackbeard, was a glorious legend. Staring out as a privateer crew member, he would soon became the most feared and successful pirate captain of the infamous Queen Anne’s Revenge. This all became fact when, at the start of the eighteenth century, precious matter was found in the Americas. Rumors started to spread about these incredible amounts of fabulous goods and was soon to be known all over Europe. As a result, due to all these European ships bringing in their precious treasure and making very good money trading these goods, the attraction for privateers came into play. Also known as the War of Spanish Succession, Europeans legalized these privateers to attack and capture enemy ships along North America. As time goes on, these privateers, such as Blackbeard, become extremely independent and start only fighting for their own benefit-pirates. This is where Blackbeard’s legend begins. As of today there is still almost no info rmation on Blackbeard’s previous life before he became a privateer crew member. Not even his real name can be identified. Although, it is believed that Blackbeard is from Bristol, a port in western England. However, his surname is Edward Teach and has two other variations of Thatch or Thach.
